Canary bell-flower (Canarina canariensis)

A climbing plant of the family of the Campanulaceae, with stems of up to three metres, triangular leaves with jagged edges. Flowers with a acampanulado corolla with stems of up to 6 cms. in length, orange in colour and the fruit is a fleshy, edible berry of reddish colour. It is to be found at the bottom edge of the woodland. It is quite rare on La Gomera.  Flowering: February-mid April
