Black Rat (Rattus rattus)

It originates in Persia and India and it spread around Europe at the beginning of the 12th Century. Its coloration is a function of the geographical race, it has a stout head, prominent ears and a naked tail, longer than its head and the trunk together. They occupy all kinds of areas. In competition with the common rat, it is expelled from all the subterranean areas obliging it to occupy the upper parts of buildings.
