Sistema acuífero fluvio-volcánico de la Garrotxa

El sistema acuífero fluvio-volcánico de la Garrotxa se encuentra en la comarca de la Garrotxa, situada en el noreste de Cataluña, entre el Alto Ampurdán y el Ripollés, en la provincia de Girona. Esta comarca se subdivide en dos partes bien diferenciadas: la Alta Garrotxa, con un paisaje abrupto, de desfiladeros y valles profundos rodeados de altos riscos y paredes de roca; y la Baja Garrotxa, suave y húmeda, con valles llanos como resultado de la actividad volcánica.
